The NEX series will initially comprise two cameras – the NEX-5 and NEX-3. In terms of specifications, both cameras are essentially identical – the NEX-5 gets a slightly smaller magnesium alloy body and 1080i AVCHD movie recording but in ever other respect they’re the same.
A mount adapter will be available, giving the ability to use Sony and Minolta Alpha-mount lenses. The LA-EA1 adapter will have a motor to control the lens aperture but nothing to driving the autofocus (they can’t currently focus SSM and SAM lenses with built-in focus motors either). We have no pricing for the adapter yet but suspect the additional mechanical complexity of providing aperture support may mean it’s worth thinking very hard about how much it’s really worth to retain compatibility.

In a little under two years, interchangeable lens compact cameras have gone from an intriguing idea to an accepted and integral segment of the digital camera market. Micro Four-Thirds pioneers Panasonic might have kicked it off with the relatively conservative, DSLR-inspired DMC-G1, but it wasn’t long before we saw the true potential of the concept explored in more innovative ways in the small and stylish GF1, and Olympus’s E-P1 and E-P2.

It looks like the Micro-Four-Thirds (MFT) cameras are now becoming a trend amongst the amateur photographer. Compact in size with the option of interchangeable lenses, not only is this light on your shoulders but lighter on your wallet too.
The camera will come as part of a kit, with the newly announced LUMIX G VARIO 14-42mm/F3.5-5.6 ASPH/MEGA O.I.S. (that’s a mouthful) lens. Pricing and availability have yet to be announced.

So you’re on a shoe-string budget but love taking macro shots of insects, grains of rice, flowers or just about anything that is blown up 0.5 times larger than what it exactly is to the human eye?
I only found this out after purchasing my Tamron AF 90mm f/2.8 Macro lens, to be honest, on a personal level, I find this setup a little daunting. It takes patience and well, even more patience to get the setup correct.

One of my dream lens. This is the new Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 II USM review done by the-digital-picture.com.
Excerpt taken from the review:
For stopping action, especially in low light, an f/2.8 aperture can make a big difference. If you are only shooting action, the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L USM Lens probably makes the most sense for you. Although the f/2.8 IS II has somewhat better image quality at f/2.8, the premium cost for the IS version must be considered. If you want the best 70-200 L lens available – and arguably the best Canon zoom lens ever made (as of this review date) – the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II USM Lens is definitely the lens to get.

With the marvels of CS4 and other image editor/manipulators or whatever you might want to call them, I’ve enjoyed manipulating my images and thus far, my favourite would have to be the cross-processing of E6-C41 or C41-E6!

<3 bokeh (for the less imaginative, that translates to “Heart Bokeh”) I’ve always loved ‘bokeh‘ in my photos, especially if its for a portraiture, infact, I’ll normally find all ways to include some or at least a bit of bokeh in my photographs.
Not that its a must but, its something that I personally like. Shot ‘wide-open’, yummy bokeh.

So I was surfing the web and visited Canon Rumors to check on the latest Canon Rumors hitting the web. I can’t help but post this. Heh, the stripped down image looks somewhat like a medium format camera, well a mini one.
Interesting. Visit the site at http://www.deanfrancisstudios.com/index2.php?v=v1
