Little black puppies.

Poodle pup, day 1I’m currently nursing myself back to health. Been down with the flu & fever and to top it all off, my throat feels like it just got sand-papered really good. I’ve acquired 6 healthy puppies which are offsprings of my chocolate & apricot poodles. I’m looking for buyers to purchase them, not at any ridiculous prices but more like an ‘adoption’ fee of sorts. In my post, I will explain in detail why.

Fixing a CO2 splitter

CO2 SplitterSo, you have a rather large CO2 tank and would now like to split your CO2 output. You can do so by investing in a CO2 splitter that is available at most local fish shops. The splitter can be used for a single large tank where CO2 displacement is required to be more present around both sides of the tank.

D.I.Y your own external CO2 reactor.

Completed D.I.Y external CO2 reactorI came across this post on AquaticQuotient.com quite sometime ago and thought I’d feature this on Aquastuff. External CO2 reactors are good if you have a fairly powerful external canister filter or powered by an external pump and will dissolve even better if your external reactor is connected to a chiller unit. The only drawback with an external reactor is that, if you do not connect it well and tight enough, you can expect a flooded room. Starting to piece things up.

This post is in-relation to my earlier post, Planning for a new tank.. So far I’ve gathered the following items that I will be needing and have a rough estimate on the total overhead.

These are just the hardware items, I’ve yet to include in the tank and the cabinet and the filtration. I’m wondering if I decommision my tank over at my parent’s place, I can get the two Eheim 2028 filters or should I purchase a new Eheim Pro 3E filter?
