FEATURED ARTICLES FOR THE WEEK.

Day #166 update.

Posted: July 29th, 2007 | Author: grey_fox | Filed under: Oldies - post of yester-year! | No Comments »

Here are some quick shots that I took of the tank after its weekly maintenance. I did a major trim to the hemianthus micranthemoides bunch growing in the back. I reckon that if you pull the bunch out straight, they may infact reach up to more than 1 metre in length.

Other clean ups that were done were mainly general trimmings and yanking of the older leaves and such.

Flora and fauna are doing rather well and the panda & salt-pepper corydoras that I purchased are getting bigger and fatter.

Enjoy! :)

Looking for an interior decoration firm.

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I’ve been rather busy with work and hardly have the time for myself. Anyways, in today’s post I’m writing on looking for an interior decoration firm for my future place.

Recently (about 3-4 weeks ago), my wife and I went down for a interior decorator’s open house at the Singapore Expo centre. We receive some phamplets, name cards and after sifting through the preview of design work offered by these firms, we shortlisted only a few, sent out emails with our requirements and only received one reply!

La Casa – the re-visit.

Posted: July 15th, 2007 | Author: grey_fox | Filed under: Oldies - post of yester-year! | No Comments »

In my previous post, La Casa – Our future home, about done. we were once again invited down to our future home by Far East Organisation for a smoothie demonstration as well as go for a ‘look-see’ around.

Although its not completely done yet, I can see that it will probably take the developers another 5 to 6 months before its entirely completed. I managed to take more photos of the place this time and the photos sets will show you more of the different pools as well as the club houses and some shots of the showrooms.

Photo set of the La Casa visit that my wife and I went down to.

New theme installed for Aquastuff. Better?

I’ve also added a “Using Aquastuff” page for you to find out how to effectively use Aquastuff with ease. Feedback would be much-appreciated.

New additions – salt & pepper + panda corydoras.

Posted: July 8th, 2007 | Author: grey_fox | Filed under: Oldies - post of yester-year! | No Comments »

I just purchased 4 panda corydoras and 2 salt & pepper corydoras to be added to my tank.

Cute little fellas who help maintain the bottom community of the tank. Currently I have only 1 adult salt & pepper corydora. Hopefully with 6 new ones to be a part of its ‘gang’, it’ll be happier since corydoras do indeed do better in a group.

You can view more of the photos take at my flickr album located at the following URL. http://www.flickr.com/photos/snaps_at_aquastuff/sets/72157600578985341/.

Enjoy :D

My fertilization tools & hardware.

In this picture what you are seeing are the fertilisers I currently have for my tank. What you see in the cupboard are the following.

  • Lushgro – KNO3, K2SO4, KH2PO4
  • Seachem – Flourish, Equilibrium, Iron
  • Tropica – Plant Nutrition, Plant Nutrition NPK
  • Ferka – Potassium

The rest are actually miscellaneous items such as the ADA drop checker which checks the pH levels of the tanks’ waters. Measuring spoons for dry and wet fertiliser dosing.
