It’s already a nuisance to me to receive spam e-mails, what’s worse is a combination of spam comments that I have to moderate on the blog prior to its migration. Now, to combat ‘comment-spam’ on wordpress, I’ve installed a captcha! verification module for wordpress. What this does is that it prevents ‘non-humans’ from leaving comments down, A.K.A spam-bots. This is also to removes the un-neccessary moderation mode of the comments.

Additionally, I’ve employed the service of Akismet which has a rather large database, already blocking out spammed comments. An image located at the bottom right hand corner of this site will show the amount of spammed comments it has blocked out.

Hopefully with these two services working hand-in-hand, I’ll be 99.9% spam free.
